Introducing Our New Tenants
We are delighted to announce that we have appointed Mihai Gal and Mihai Badet as the next tenants to run our pub.
Mihai Gal is currently the sous-chef at the New Dawn Inn in Gloucester and previously was a sous-chef at The Wheatstone Inn in Gloucester. He has plenty of experience in preparing high quality pub-style menus and comes highly recommended by his current head chef. The New Dawn Inn won a TripAdvisor Traveller’s Choice award in 2021 and has nearly 500 ‘excellent’ reviews.
Mihai Badet is a trained barista and is the assistant manager at the Caffe Corretto at the Gloucester Docks. The café also won a TripAdvisor Traveller’s Choice award in 2021 and is currently the number two coffee shop in Gloucester. Mihai Badet is currently learning all about how to keep and serve quality beer and other bar drinks and will be leading the front of house team.
Mihai and Mihai will be joined by their partners Maria and Bistra who will help with the front of house operations. Maria is currently a waitress at Caffe Corretto and is training as an accountant so will manage the finances for their company. Bistra is currently a team leader at Côte Brasserie and has also worked at an Italian restaurant. She used to be a ski instructor and has a masters in sports management.
Mihai, Mihai, Maria and Bistra will be moving in in late April and are aiming to re-open for a Sunday lunch service on the 1st May. They are then planning to be open six days per week.
